CURRICULUM OVERVIEW – Design Technology
YEAR 8 – SPRING TERM
Main areas of work:
Bird Box.
This Project is designed to focus pupils on accurate measuring and marking out, following a specific design used by the R.S.P.B
Pupils will use a wide variety of hand tools and workshop machinery in the construction of the bird box and several different materials.
Bird Box packaging.
This is the graphic element of the project and will encourage pupils to look at existing products to see how they are made appealing to customers and will culminate in the production of packaging for their product.
