SCHOOL MEAL – MYSTERY SHOPPER

Kirklees School Meals Service is committed to improving the service it provides to pupils and staff. As part of a programme of ‘continuous improvement’ the service is looking to introduce a ‘mystery shopper’ scheme. Gomersal Middle School has agreed to take part in this scheme and we are looking for volunteers to assist us in this programme.
As a ‘mystery shopper’ we would ask you to come to school for lunch. This would be a date of your choice, however the school would have to know in advance when you intended to come. This information would not be passed to the kitchen staff as we want to judge the service as the children see it. We would then ask you to complete a questionnaire giving feed back on your experience. We are looking for 2-3 parents to attend for lunch during each half term. If your child brings a packed lunch you can still take part in this scheme. If you wish to be considered as a ‘mystery shopper’ could you please contact school to arrange a date for you to attend.
SCHOOL MEALS

The price of a school meal remains at £1.75 each day. Please be reminded that payment should be made each day at the till to the kitchen staff.
We have been advised a number of our pupils have an allergy to nuts. Whilst we appreciate nuts are a healthy nutritional snack and a good source of protein we would be grateful such items could be avoided in packed lunches.

P.F.T.A
Gomersal Middle School’s Parents, Friends & Teachers Association has played a significant role in the school for many years.
Successful fundraisers are too previous to mention all, but have included fashion shows, beetle drives and Christmas, Spring or Summer fayres.
All parents are welcome and any support is highly valued. Meetings dates are communicated in newsletters and normally take place twice a term. Parents volunteer help to set up and run events.
